Police respond to reports of a man ‘behaving suspiciously’ in Saltney on Tuesday.

A Police spokesman has confirmed officers responded to reports of a man ‘behaving suspiciously’ around the Sandy Lane, Vyrnwy Road area of Saltney yesterday,Tuesday 26 July.

Numerous police vehicles were seen in the area say local residents along with a police dog and handler at around 4pm.

Rumour and speculation circulated on social media during the afternoon and evening, Saltney Town Councillor Shelley Streeter shared a post on Facebook warning parents to be vigilant saying “might be worth keeping an eye on your kids” due to reports of the suspicious male, the post also linked to a post by the Broughton Life facebook page which said.

“Re Police activity in Sandy Lane Saltney today. It has been fully dealt with today. No ongoing concern, an update may be available tomorrow, will keep you posted”

A police spokesperson told us there was “Reports of a man in the area behaving suspiciously” police have not said if any offence was committed or arrest made.
