Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Prestatyn last weekend

The attack happened between 8:20pm and 8:30pm on Saturday, April 9.

A 35-year-old man was walking along Central Avenue towards the town centre when he was approached from behind by a man.

He was the attacked with what appeared to be a roof tile, the man received injuries which later required several stitches to his face.

The offender is described as being white, aged in his early 20’s and had very short dark hair.

He was wearing a grey or white coloured hoody and tracksuit bottoms.

He left the area in a light blue coloured Toyota Yaris which travelled along Central Avenue and then turned right up Ffordd Penwylfa.

PC James Lloyd from North Wales Police said:

“This appears to have been a pre-planned attack which has left a man with serious facial injuries. I am appealing to anybody who may have information, or to anybody who may have witnessed the incident to contact us immediately.”
