Cyclist receives ‘potentially serious’ injuries after collision on the A458

A cyclist received ‘potentially serious’ injuries yesterday evening after a collision with another cyclists. 

The A548 through Deeside Industrial Park was closed yesterday evening following the collision which happened just before 8.o0pm between zone’s 2 and 3 of the Industrial Park.

A diversion was put in place from Flint Bridge through Connah’s Quay and emergency services dealt with the collision.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at about 8pm to reports of a collision involving two cyclists on Deeside Industrial Park.

“Two emergency ambulances attended the scene and a man was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with potentially serious injuries.”

Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101 quoting U123082.
