Police appeal for witnesses following fatal collision near Countess of Chester Hospital

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Liverpool Road, Chester.

At 10.46am on Sunday 5 November two cars collided at the traffic lights near to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

A 57-year-old woman was taken to hospital but sadly died.

Sgt Russell Sime said:

“We believe a cyclist saw the collision and may have video footage that may help us with our investigation. I’d urge him, and anyone else who has captured the collision on camera or witnessed the collision to contact us.”

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
