North Wales Police say four males were detained in Flint today following an incident that saw a heavy police presence in the area.

Officers said two males were detained quickly after making off from police, while two others fled and were later found by police dog PD Arlo hiding in bushes some time after the last sighting.

A spokesperson for the North Flintshire policing team said: “PD Arlo was our champion today and nailed it locating two hiding deep in the bushes quite a while after last sighting. I wouldn’t run from those teeth either.”

Police said there was no wider cause for concern for the community.
