A man has been charged in connection with a series of alleged offences across Flintshire and Chester earlier this week, including burglary, shoplifting, and assault.

James Michael Malloy, 31, of no fixed abode, has been charged with eight offences that are said to have taken place between Tuesday, 4 March, and Wednesday, 5 March.

He has been remanded in custody and appeared before Llandudno Magistrates Court today.

North Flintshire Police said Malloy has been charged with an alleged burglary at a property in Connah’s Quay, where two parcels were stolen from a porch.

He is also accused of two further burglaries at business premises—one in Chester and another in Shotton—where power tools were stolen.

Malloy has also been charged with two driving offences, shoplifting from a fuel station in Holywell, and theft from a supermarket in Queensferry.

It is further alleged that the latter incident involved an assault, and he has been charged in relation to this.

He remains in custody following his court appearance.
