Man arrested after public order incident at Tesco Holywell

A 19-year-old man has been arrested following an incident involving criminal damage and public order offences at Tesco in Holywell.

Shortly before 11.40am, police received a report of criminal damage at the store. Officers attended the scene and arrested the man on suspicion of criminal damage, public order offences, and assaulting a police officer. He remains in custody.

Acting District Inspector Thomas Matthews thanked members of the public present during the incident for their patience. He said the situation was resolved safely and confirmed there is no wider or ongoing risk to the public.
