Man airlifted to hospital after Buckley assault – police appeal for witnesses

North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in an assault on Buckley High Street this afternoon.
Officers were called at 3.21pm on Tuesday 12 August to a report of an assault involving a local man.
Emergency services, including the Welsh Ambulance Services and Wales Air Ambulance, attended the scene.
The victim was airlifted to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries.
Chief Inspector Matt Geddes said: “One suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident and our officers remain in the area conducting extensive enquiries to establish the circumstances of what took place.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area around the time, or has information relevant to our enquiries is asked to contact us at the earliest opportunity.
“I am also appealing to anyone saw the victim prior to the incident, or anyone who was driving through the area at the time with dashcam to get in touch.”
