Hawarden Post Office targeted in late night attack

Police are investigating after an incident at Hawarden Post Office Village Store on Thursday night.

In a post shared on social media, the business said the incident happened at around 10.20pm on Thursday 11th September.

A photo shared by the business shows one of the glass entrance doors with a large area of shattered glass.

The post stated: “With a heavy heart last night we are sad to inform you that we were victims of either mindless vandalism or an attempt to enter the post office.”

“This occurred at around 10.20pm.”

“We have reported this to the police.”

“If any witnesses saw this happen please contact us privately so we can pass details on to the police.”

“There were at least 3 people and a car witness we hope that someone can come forward and share some details of this horrendous crime on a local business.”

A further post shared CCTV footage of the incident.

The store added: “Here is the video of the incident, any help on identifying any of the people in the video or anyone that has witnessed this we would really appreciate you contacting us privately or the police thank you.”
