A Flintshire man is among six individuals charged in connection with the alldeged theft of 14 cows from a farm near Llanerchymedd, Anglesey, in December 2022.

The charges follow a detailed investigation by the Rural Crime Team after the cattle were reported stolen from a shed on the evening of 10 December.

Search warrants were executed at multiple locations, including two farms in the Stoke on Trent area, in April 2023.

During these searches, stolen cattle, a tractor, and a quad bike were recovered.

The investigation was supported by the North Wales Police drone unit, Cheshire Police, and the National Construction and Agriculture Theft Team.

The six men charged with conspiring to commit a burglary with intent to steal include:

Michael McLeod, 55, of Higher Kinnerton, Flintshire

  • Liam Kettleborough, 29, from Staffordshire
  • Daniel Jones, 30, from Anglesey
  • Jack Billington, 22, from Rossett, Wrexham
  • Stanley Jones, 26, from Pentre Broughton, Wrexham
  • Clifford Smith, 64 from Stoke on Trent

The men are due to appear at Caernarfon Magistrates Court on 3 April.
