Flintshire faces double Met Office warning this weekend

Flintshire is covered by two Met Office yellow weather warnings, one for rain and another for wind, both in force through Saturday into Sunday.
The rain warning, issued earlier, remains in place until 3am on Sunday.
It warns that heavy rainfall may cause transport disruption, flooding and possible power cuts, particularly across north Wales and northern England.
The newer wind warning runs from 3pm today until 4am on Sunday.
The Met Office said there is a chance of very strong gusts affecting parts of England and Wales, with disruption possible on the roads, railways, air and ferry services.
A spokesperson said: “A developing area of low pressure may produce a short spell of very strong winds. Winds will initially strengthen across some western and southwestern areas, before migrating northeastwards, clearing into the North Sea during the early hours of Sunday morning.”
Inland areas could see gusts of 50-60mph, while exposed coasts may experience 65-75mph. The strongest winds are expected around the Bristol Channel and west Wales this afternoon and early evening, moving towards the North Sea coast later tonight.
The Met Office has advised people to secure loose items around their homes, prepare for possible power cuts and take care when travelling.
