A man from Queensferry has been jailed for three years after leading police on a 155mph pursuit along the M1 and M69.

Patrick Connors, 45, failed to stop for officers in February after being wanted for failing to appear in court in 2024 for fraud offences in Wrexham. Warwickshire Police said the chase took place through Warwickshire and Leicestershire.

Driving a BMW 5 Series, Connors ran a red light, brake checked a police car and attempted to ram another vehicle during the pursuit. Police, who have shared footage of the incident, said when he finally stopped he tried to flee on foot across the live carriageway before being arrested.

Connors gave officers false details when detained and was found to have used up to 17 aliases. He was also disqualified from driving and had no insurance.

He was later charged and pleaded guilty to acquiring criminal property, dangerous driving and failure to stop.

At Mold Crown Court on Wednesday he was sentenced to three years in prison and banned from driving for 60 months.
