Dee Park: Gardening club and workshops open to all in Shotton

Residents in Shotton and the surrounding areas are invited to take part in a series of free community events at Dee Park, including gardening sessions, mindful walks, and creative workshops.

A Monday Gardening Club is running each week from 10am to 1pm at the Old Corus Club, offering volunteers the chance to grow flowers and vegetables, learn new skills, and meet others.

The club is open to all, with free parking available at the venue.

In addition, a Spring at Dee Park programme has been launched, featuring a variety of activities from February to April:

  • Wednesday 12 February, 10am-12pm – Macramé
  • Friday 21 February, 10.30am-12.30pm – Mindful Walk
  • Tuesday 25 February, 10am-12pm – Bird Identification Workshop
  • Thursday 27 February, 10.30am – Terrarium Making (under 16s only)
  • Wednesday 12 March, 6-8pm – Macramé (Over 18s only)
  • Wednesday 19 March, 10am-12pm – Whittling Workshop
  • Friday 21 March, 10.30am-12.30pm – Mindful Walk
  • Saturday 5 April, 11am-3pm – Spring Celebration Event
  • Friday 11 April, 10.30am-12.30pm – Mindful Walk
  • Wednesday 23 April, 10am-12pm – Foraging Walk

All activities take place at Care and Repair, Rowley’s Drive, Shotton (CH5 1PY).

Free parking is available, and under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
