TS Tuscan Connah’s Quay Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets are holding an open evening next month to showcase the wide range of training and opportunities they provide for young people.

The event will take place on Thursday 25 September, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, at T.S. Tuscan on Dock Road, Connah’s Quay.

Visitors will be able to see demonstrations of boating, seamanship and fieldcraft skills, as well as interactive displays on first aid, leadership and navigation.

There will also be an opportunity to meet cadets, adult volunteers and staff, and to learn more about how the unit supports young people aged 10 to 17. An information zone with light refreshments will also be available.

A spokesperson for the unit said the evening is designed to highlight the work of cadets and the invaluable role played by volunteers in supporting the development of young people in the community.

“Your presence at this event would be a great honour to our cadets and volunteers, and would provide valuable encouragement as we continue our work,” they added.
