A shopping centre in Connah’s Quay has been put up for sale with a guide price of £3.5 million.

The Quay Shopping Centre, located off Ffordd Llanarth, is home to several national retailers, including Home Bargains, Morrisons Pharmacy, Card Factory, and Barnardo’s.

The retail scheme, which was developed in 2010, is fully let and serves as a key shopping destination for the local community.

Situated next to a 52,225 sq ft Morrisons supermarket – which is not part of the sale-  the shopping centre benefits from strong footfall.

It comprises two terraces of retail units and has access to a shared car park with 318 spaces.

Property agents Allsop, who are marketing the site, describe it as “two modern terraces of convenience retail totalling 19,561 sq ft.” Their sales document states: “The first terrace adjoins the Morrisons and consists of five units totalling 6,835 sq ft. The second terrace sits perpendicular to the first terrace, is anchored by Home Bargains, and has seven additional smaller units totalling 12,726 sq ft. There is surface car parking of approximately 318 vehicles, which the subject property has the right to use. There is staff car parking and servicing areas to the rear.”

A representative for the sale said: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire a secure, well-let retail investment in a strong location. The centre benefits from low global rents, allowing room for future rental growth.”

Offers in excess of £3.5 million are being sought for the property, subject to contract and exclusive of VAT.
