Co-op recalls two of its ‘Irresistible’ range of cakes as they may contain glass

Co-op is recalling Irresistible Carrot Cake and Irresistible Coffee and Walnut Cake because the products may contain pieces of glass. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

The recalls apply to Irresistible Carrot Cake with a best before date of 14 March 2021 and Irresistible Coffee and Walnut Cake best before date 20 March 2021. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

“The possible presence of glass makes this product unsafe to eat.” The Food Standards Agency has said in alert. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Co-op has said: “If you have bought the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.” ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​
