Dozens of representatives from councils and other organisations will gather in the Senedd this month as part of a Wales-wide campaign against domestic violence.

Alyn and Deeside AM Carl Sargeant and representatives from the White Ribbon Campaign UK will host a special event in Cardiff to recognise the efforts made by Welsh local authorities to end violence against women.

Councils who have applied to become corporate supporters of the White Ribbon campaign, following a request made by Carl earlier this year, will be presented with certificates by campaign director Chris Green.

Carl said:

“I’m really looking forward to meeting representatives from Welsh local authorities, who have shown real commitment in helping me achieve my aim of making

Wales the first part of the UK to fully pledge support to this important campaign.”
