Arriva Trains Wales Industrial Action Called Off On Thursday 23 & Friday 24 October 2014

The proposed second round of industrial action set for Thursday 23 & Friday 24 October 2014  has been called off by rail workers union the RMT.

That industrial action which threatened to have widespread impact on Arriva Wales Trains has been suspended. 

All Arriva Trains Wales services will now operate according to the normal published timetable.

The RMT leader Mike Cash said;

“The union has been approached by management to re-enter talks under the auspices of ACAS with a view resolving the current dispute. After careful consideration, the union’s executive committee has decided to suspend the industrial action to allow these negotiations to take place, the industrial action short of a strike which was due to start on Saturday 25th October 2014 has also been suspended”
