Alun School marks strong 2025 A level performance

Alun School has congratulated its sixth form students on another set of excellent A level results, crediting their success to hard work from students and staff, along with support from parents.
The school reported high achievement across all areas, with 40% of grades in maths and sciences awarded at A* or A, and half of all grades across subjects at A*-B. AS level results were also strong, continuing a positive trend ahead of next year’s A level entries.
Students at the Alun study 35 different A level or equivalent courses, each with five hours of on-site teaching per week.
Head of Sixth Form Lynne Williams said: “We are proud of our students – not only in what they have achieved academically but also how they have developed as well-rounded and caring individuals. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with. They have risen to the challenge of their courses and can look forward to the next step in their career.”
Headteacher Jane Cooper said: “Yet another set of excellent results at the Alun is a testament to the hard work of our staff and students. For many years, the Alun has been a place where students look to challenge themselves and to excel academically and this year is no different. We now wish them luck as they go on to higher education, employment or apprenticeships having been given an excellent start at the Alun.”
