Aldi to open one of its largest UK stores in Deeside on Thursday

Aldi will open a new flagship store in Deeside on Thursday 14 August, with Olympic bronze medal-winning diver Lois Toulson on hand to officially cut the ribbon.
The 21,000 sqft store, located on The Airfields, Welsh Road, just off the A494, opens at 8am and will create 27 new full and part-time jobs for local people.
To mark the launch, the first 30 people in the queue will receive a free bag of fresh fruit and vegetables from Aldi’s Super 6 range.
The new store is among the largest in the UK and has been designed with a bright, spacious layout to make shopping easier.
It offers Aldi’s full range of groceries, including fresh British meat, fruit and vegetables, everyday essentials, Specialbuys, and expanding plant-based and Free From ranges.
Facilities include wide aisles, customer toilets, baby changing areas, and free parking.
Store Manager Spencer Kearney said: “We’re so excited to finally open our doors to the people of Deeside. The new store has been carefully designed to deliver the best possible shopping experience – from the fresh produce and low prices Aldi is known for, to the modern layout and friendly team.
“We’re especially proud to be creating jobs for local people and contributing to the area’s economy. Having Lois Toulson join us to celebrate is the icing on the cake – we’re looking forward to a memorable morning with the local community.”
Opening hours will be 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
