Emergency services called out to search for man seen acting suspiciously on the Flintshire Bridge

Coastguard rescue teams from Flint and Wirral along with the Flint inshore lifeboat and a police helicopter joined a search for a male reported to be acting suspiciously on the Flintshire Bridge, Connah’s Quay this morning, Saturday January 9.

Police helicopter based at Barton in Manchester joined the search
North Wales Police took reports of a man seen running across the bridge at 7.53am this morning.
Police and Coastguard rescue teams arrived at the bridge to carry out a search of the area, NPAS Barton, the Manchester based police helicopter joined in a search of the river Dee.
With the possibility this person may have jumped from the bridge into the river the Flint lifeboat launched and conducted a search under the Flintshire Bridge and 300m stretch either side.
The search was called off at 9;27am after nothing was found, police are now appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious to call them on 101.
