Airbus has welcomed its latest early careers intake at the Broughton site, with 245 new starters beginning work this month.

The group includes 152 apprentices, 23 graduates and 70 interns, who will be based at the wing-making plant in Broughton.

Airbus says the new recruits will gain hands-on experience from day one, developing skills across the business in areas such as wing assembly for the A320, A330 and A350 aircraft, manufacturing processes, digital developments and operational support.

Gareth Davies, Airbus Head of Broughton Plant and Site, said: “Investing in young talent is about more than today’s workforce. It is about safeguarding the long-term future of Airbus and the wider UK aerospace sector. By nurturing our early careers cohorts, we are protecting the talent pipeline of manufacturing excellence and innovation that will keep our industry strong for decades to come. Having started my career as an apprentice I know how transformative these opportunities can be. Their fresh perspectives are vital to securing a sustainable and competitive future for us all.”

Applications for Airbus apprentice and graduate schemes are available via the company’s website. The application window for 2026 internships and graduate positions is already open, with apprentice applications opening on 6 October.
