Woman charged with domestic abuse in Flintshire case

A woman has been charged in connection with a series of domestic abuse offences alleged to have taken place in Flintshire.

Cara Smith, 46, of Dog Lane, Kelsall, Chester, faces five charges including engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, three counts of assault, and intimidating a witness.

The offences are said to have occurred over a five-year period, beginning in April 2020.

Smith was remanded into custody and appeared before Mold Magistrates Court on Thursday, 27 March.

She was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear before Mold Crown Court on Friday, 25 April.
