Organisers of Mold Food & Drink Festival held every September on New Street, Mold, are looking for people to join their organising committee.

Run entirely by volunteers with little external funding, the food festival has gone from strength to strength with visitors increasing year-on-year.

Now, as the two-day extravaganza enters its 15th year, the organisers are looking for extra people to come on board.

Festival co-chairs Richard Howells and Gwenan Roberts said bolstering the organising committee’s numbers would help ‘future-proof’ the festival which every year provides a platform for more than 100 food and drink producers.

Richard said: “Preparing, planning and staging Mold’s leading festival is a year-round project. It takes hard work and effort to deliver, and our volunteers give up their time for
free to stage the event.

We are a small committee of determined people who want to do something great for Flintshire and are looking for like-minded people to join us.

“We’re after people with different skills to complement our great group. All you need is a willingness to join in, be able to commit to monthly meetings, be prepared to take on a role or task and free over the festival weekend.

“We have a wide range of roles available, the committee is made up of a lovely bunch of people and anyone joining us would be made most welcome.”

This year’s festival will be held on September 19th and 20th .
