Two vehicles seized on A55 near Broughton after drivers ‘appeared to be racing’

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

Two vehicles have been seized by North Wales Police after officers spotted them appearing to race along the A55 near Broughton.

Roads policing officers were on patrol in the area when they observed the two vehicles driving anti-socially.

When the drivers were stopped, officers established that both had already received Section 59 warning notices, a formal written warning issued to prevent further anti-social driving.

Because both drivers had previous warnings, officers seized both vehicles.

The drivers were also reported for careless driving and issued with prohibition notices, official orders preventing a vehicle from being used on public roads due to safety defects.

North Wales Police’s Roads Policing Unit published details of the incident on social media.
