Two banned for five years after Mold and Buckley Pubwatch meeting

Two individuals have been banned from entering Pubwatch member premises in the Mold and Buckley area for five years following the October meeting of local Pubwatch representatives.
North Wales Police community support officers attended the session, which included representatives from The Blue Bell, The Golden Cape, Y Pentan, The Black Lion, The White Lion, The Griffin, No 32, The Red Lion, the Sports and Social Club, The Tivoli, The Blue Anchor, and DMS Security.
Two “problematic” individuals were discussed, and it was agreed that banning notices would be issued, preventing them from entering any participating Pubwatch venues for five years.
A reminder letter will also be sent to an individual who had previously been banned but has reportedly tried to re-enter local pubs.
It was further agreed that a man who has served one year of a five-year ban, imposed for criminal damage, will have the remaining four years suspended.
According to South Flintshire Police, he has compensated the business for the damage, and members felt the incident had been out of character. If he is involved in any further issues, the ban will be reinstated.
Members also discussed reports of fake identification and counterfeit money being circulated locally.
In response, Pubwatch members were provided with UV torches to help bar and security staff detect false documents or notes.
North Wales Police said the joint approach aims to make nights out in Mold, Buckley and surrounding areas as safe and enjoyable as possible.
