Police are appealing to the public for witnesses following unsettling incidents involving suspicious individuals in Deeside.

In Queensferry, at around 5pm on Tuesday, June 6th, a teenager was reported to have been approached by an unknown male as she was walking from Shotton, past KFC, towards the Spar.

Upon alerting a passerby near the Spar, the suspect is believed to have fled the scene.

In a separate incident the following day in Mancot, an unidentified man is reported to have followed two women in the Mancot Lane area.

In response to these reports, police have increased patrols in the areas.

Inspector Wesley Williams said: “I am now appealing to anyone who witnessed any of the incidents, and to the person who the teenager approached near to the Spar on June 6th, to contact us as soon as possible.”

The police are urging anyone with information to reach out on 101, or via their website using the reference number 23000489671.

As yet, it is unclear whether the two incidents are related, but the police are keen to gather as much information as possible to aid their investigations.
