Tailbacks on A55 following multi vehicle accident and car fire
All lanes are back open following a multi-vehicle accident and car fire on A55 Westbound near Pentre Halkyn.
The accident is believed to have involved three cars.
Traffic is however still very congested and is backing up past Sealand close to the end of the M56.
Initially, the road was completely blocked whilst the while fire crews including one fire engine from Deeside dealt with the blaze.
It’s believed two were taken to hospital with “non-serious” injuries.
One lane reopened at 10:15am – the vehicle and emergency services remained in lane two while recovery took place, both lanes fully reopened at 12:00pm
