One person taken to hospital after a crash closes Sealand Road

Sealand Road is back open this afternoon after a collision involving a black Jaguar and a tipper truck closed the road at around 9.20 this morning.

Emergency services including three fire appliances and two ambulances attended the scene at the entrance to Dandy’s Topsoil close to the English and Welsh Border.

Its believed the car hit the tipper truck which was waiting to pull out onto Sealand road from Dandy’s.

One man has been taken to the Countess of Chester hospital his injuries are not “life threatening” the Welsh Ambulance Service has confirmed.

Traffic built up through Saughall, diversions took other vehicles through Blacon while emergency services cleared the scene.
