Queensferry will host a free drop-in careers event next month, as part of a wider initiative by Careers Wales to support jobseekers and school leavers across north Wales.

The “Ready for Work” event will take place on Tuesday 9 April between 3pm and 6pm at the Careers Wales centre on Station Road in Queensferry.

Open to anyone aged 16 and over, the session is designed to help people explore their next steps, whether that’s applying for a job, considering an apprenticeship, or looking into further training.

The initiative, delivered by Working Wales and funded by the Welsh Government, aims to provide practical support for those preparing to enter or return to the workplace.

Attendees at the Queensferry event will have access to:

  • Free CV writing advice and support

  • Live job vacancies

  • Interview preparation tips and guidance

There is no need to book in advance – jobseekers can simply drop in during the afternoon session.

Those who may need help with travel costs to attend can contact the Careers Wales team by emailing [email protected] for assistance.

A spokesperson for Careers Wales said: “These events are designed to be informal, practical, and welcoming. Whether you’re leaving education, changing careers, or returning to work, we’re here to support you in taking that next step.”

The Queensferry session is part of a wider series of events taking place across north Wales, with previous stops including Wrexham, Bangor and Holyhead.

Working Wales provides free careers guidance and employability support for people aged 16 and over.
