Police appeal after fatal crash on Flintshire Bridge

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a road traffic collision on the Flintshire Bridge on Saturday evening, 11 October.

Shortly after 6pm, North Wales Police received a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on the A548 in Connah’s Quay.

Emergency services attended, however the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Constable Donna Vernon of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:
“Firstly our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this incredibly difficult time.

“We are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have witnessed the motorcycle travelling along the A548 prior to the collision to contact us as soon as possible.

“We also urge anybody who may have dash cam or CCTV footage that may show the moments leading up to the collision to please come forward.”

The road remains closed and diversions are in place. Officers have thanked motorists and the local community for their patience.
