Deestriders Running Club members have been clocking up the miles both at home and abroad, with March bringing impressive race performances and a warm-weather training camp in Portugal.

A group of runners recently headed to the Algarve for a training break, although they joked that the weather back home was probably better.

While in Portugal, three members took part in the Falesia 5k on 18 March.

Christine Cammillare completed the course in 22:51, Paul Lewtey finished in 23:15, and Andy Wainwright crossed the line in 25:05.

Back on UK soil, the Wilmslow Half Marathon on Sunday saw 21-year-old Ryan Johnson-Wilcock deliver a standout performance, running a personal best of 1:25:42.

David Morris also completed the course in 2:12:47.

Elsewhere, a large Deestriders turnout tackled the BTR Liverpool Half Marathon, with several members notching up personal bests despite tough conditions.

Joey Davies led the club home in 1:24:03, achieving a new PB, followed by Andy Billington (1:38:04), Anthony Barron (1:39:36), and Marc Dixon (1:45:16).

Graham Bryan and Andy Wainwright both finished in 1:57:57, the latter recording another personal best.

Les Price dipped under the two-hour mark with 1:59:09, while Dean Matthews (2:14:06), Amanda Scotter (2:17:49), Claire Harper (2:17:50), and Darren Low (2:18:19) followed close behind.

Bernice Matthews also earned a PB with 2:23:35, alongside Ross Makin (2:24:39) and Phill Bryan (2:25:00).
