Flintshire County Council has announced that carriageway resurfacing will take place on the A548 Mostyn Road in Greenfield from today, Monday 6 October.

The work, carried out by the council’s Streetscene and Transportation service, is expected to last around two weeks, depending on weather conditions.

To allow the works to be completed safely, a road closure will be in place each night between 6:30pm and 6am.

A signed diversion route will operate during the closure, with no weekend working planned.

According to the official notice, the closure will be in effect for ten nights, subject to a maximum period of 21 days.

The affected stretch runs from the A548 Isglan junction to the B5121 junction, covering approximately 1.4 kilometres.

The council said the night-time schedule was chosen to minimise disruption to daytime traffic and ensure the safety of both the workforce and road users.

Pedestrian access through the closed section will be maintained throughout the works.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys and to follow the diversion signs in place.
