Flint man jailed for smuggling drugs into Creamfields

A man from Flint has been jailed for attempting to smuggle drugs into Creamfields music festival in Cheshire.
Trey Breeze, 20, of Albert Avenue, Flint, was sentenced to three years in prison at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 30 September.
He had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (MDMA and 2C-B), possession with intent to supply class B drugs (ketamine) and being concerned in the supply of class C drugs.
Breeze was stopped at the festival’s security area on Thursday 22 August 2024 after a police dog indicated he was carrying illegal substances. He was taken aside and handed over a quantity of drugs before being ejected from the site.
During a later police interview he initially claimed the drugs were for personal use, but admitted in court that he intended to sell them to other festivalgoers.
Following sentencing, Detective Constable Neil Fleming said:
“Every year before the festival we work really hard to ensure that attendees are fully aware of the consequences they could face if they bring illegal drugs onto the site.
“Sadly, Breeze chose to ignore these warnings, and despite being given ample opportunities to get rid of the drugs in surrender bins before going through the search process, he thought that he was smarter.
“His ignorance has landed him with a three-year prison sentence, where he can take the time to contemplate his actions and ask himself if it was worth it.
“Cheshire Police, along with event organisers and security staff, work extremely hard to ensure that Creamfields remains a safe and positive experience for all festivalgoers. We have seen the irrevocable damage illegal drugs can cause, particularly during the festival period. Those attempting to smuggle drugs into the event will be put before the courts and dealt with accordingly.”
