Domestic assaults and drink driving among Flintshire arrests

Police officers covering the North Flintshire area have reported a busy 24 hours, dealing with a range of incidents across local communities.
In an update shared by North Wales Police North Flintshire, officers said they had received 48 calls for service, with eight classified as “P0” emergency responses, requiring attendance on lights and sirens.
The calls included four domestic crime incidents, seven concern-for-safety reports, and three anti-social behaviour incidents.
Officers made two arrests during the period, with one person detained for a domestic-related assault and another for drink driving.
Both suspects remained in custody on Saturday morning.
In total, 36 incidents were passed to officers for follow-up reports, with eight currently recorded as crimes.
Police also highlighted ongoing enforcement of average speed zones, confirming 10 incidents of speeding had been detected.
Several cases are being pursued through summonses for failing to identify the driver – known as “fail to furnish”.
“This is why it’s important to register your car to the correct address,” officers warned.
“Failing to respond to a notice can result in six penalty points, in addition to any punishment for the original offence.”
Officers also attended a number of deaths in the community, explaining that police are required to act on behalf of the coroner when someone passes away at home or outside hospital.
They said: “We attend to ensure all information is gathered for the coroner and there’s nothing suspicious. It’s a day-to-day occurrence for us, but we always aim to be respectful at such difficult times.”
On a lighter note, the update praised Police Dog Tag, a seasoned tracker who recently located a vulnerable person who had gone missing after leaving hospital.

The shift summary ended on a positive note: “It’ll be briefing this morning then straight out the door to be a nuisance to crims. Have a wonderful day, stay safe.”
