A main road in Buckley has been closed in both directions following a burst water main.

Liverpool Road, stretching from Buckley Service Station to Smithy Lane is currently shut.

The incident is impacting local transport services.

Arriva Buses has been forced to implement diversions for its buses.

According to their social media update, services X4 and 5 are now diverting via St David’s Park, Wood Lane, and Drury in both directions.

The reroute has temporarily suspended services to Ewloe, and Arriva has expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to passengers.

A traffic report for the area states: “Liverpool Road both ways closed, queueing traffic due to burst water main from Buckley Service Station to Smithy Lane. Diversion: For Arriva Bus Services.”
