A55 reopened at Dobshill following a serious collision on Tuesday evening

The westbound carriageway of the A55 was closed overnight at Dobshill due to a serious road traffic collision.

A large number of emergency service vehicles were seen making their way to the incident at around 10.15pm on Tuesday evening.

Wales Ambulance say they were called at 10.13pm and sent four rapid response vehicles and two ambulances to the scene.

Two fire appliances were also sent.

Leon sent us this video taken shortly after the road was closed.

The incident happened near to  J35 for A550, diversions were put in place taking traffic down the exit slip road and back up the entry slip road.

 

One person commenting on the A55 Facebook page said he saw the fire fighters with cutting equipment working on a single car.

In a post of social media at 5.01am Police said the road was now back open.
