Chester Racecourse has announced a stellar lineup of entertainment for Tote Roman Day this coming Saturday, the 27th of May, featuring the world-renowned Devil’s Horsemen. This marks their first appearance at the Roodee since 2018.

The Devil’s Horsemen, Britain’s top equestrian stunt team, have gained international acclaim for their contributions to blockbuster movies and award-winning TV series. They provide horses, carriages, riders, and horse masters for productions with Disney, Warner Bros, Universal Pictures, HBO, and Netflix.

At Tote Roman Day, the stunt team will perform a Roman Chariot show on the Open Course, harkening back to the races held at the Coliseum over 2,000 years ago. In two intervals, each lasting 20 minutes, they’ll create a unique, heart-stopping spectacle.

Chester Racecourse will also be welcoming the Chester Heritage Festival, Roman Centurions from Roman Tours, Camp Curiosity, and other activity operators. Net World Sports, a leading international sports equipment provider, is also slated to participate in the day’s events.

In a bid to make this a family-friendly event, children aged 17 and under can attend the spectacular day for free with a paying adult. A special promotion is also being offered for Chester residents, allowing them to bring a friend for free if they reside in specific postcodes.

“We are delighted to welcome the world-renowned Devil’s Horsemen back to the Roodee for a stunning exhibition of Roman Chariot racing on Tote Roman Day. They have worked with some of the biggest film and TV studios in the business and really know how to bring history to life,” said Steve Davies, Chief Operating Officer at Chester Racecourse.

To be part of this extraordinary day, tickets, starting from £15 per person, can be purchased from the Chester Racecourse website. www.chester-races.com
