In a spirited blend of old and new, 200 Degrees, the rapidly expanding speciality coffee shop, is preparing to open its newest location in Chester’s historic Bridge Street.

Housed in a beautiful Tudor building, the new shop marks another milestone in the coffee brand’s impressive growth story.

Scheduled to open its doors at 9 am on Saturday 27 May, the shop has brought life back to a unit vacant since 2019.

Stepping inside, customers will find themselves enveloped in a cool and cosy space, featuring stunning interiors such as proper wooden tables, a statement copper wall, and beautiful lighting, all signature elements synonymous with the 200 Degrees brand.

Steering the helm at this new location is the accomplished Ruby Lyle, the shop manager, who brings her skill and experience from 200 Degrees’ Carrington Street shop in Nottingham.

She and her 13-strong team will be on hand to provide a warm welcome to customers at this brand-new location.

The grand opening promises to be a jubilant affair. The first 50 people in line will receive goody bags filled with freebies ranging from 200 Degrees speciality coffee beans, vouchers for sandwiches and cakes, to the chance to win a barista school experience and a three-month coffee subscription.

Among these rewards, one lucky customer will find a golden ticket, entitling them to a Sage Barista Express Machine worth over £500.

On opening day, customers will also get the chance to visit 200 Degrees’ swanky new Barista School.

Graham Hepburn, the head of coffee, will be present to offer five-minute barista class taster sessions, sharing insider secrets on milk texturizing, latte art, and more.

While those interested in honing their coffee-making skills can book full-length courses, those who prefer to have their coffee crafted by professionals can sit back and soak in the atmosphere of the new establishment, indulging in a choice of deli-style sandwiches or cakes from the varied menu.

The shop also caters to diverse dietary requirements, with vegan and gluten-free options available for dine-in or take-away.

With an engaging ambiance and a promising new team, 200 Degrees’ Chester location is sure to become a hub for coffee lover.

It will be open from 8 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Saturday and from 9 am to 6 pm on Sundays.
