A community event described as “An Alternative to Bonfire Night” will take place at the Queensferry War Memorial Institute on Saturday 8 November, offering live music, food and a light display as a quieter option for those who prefer to avoid fireworks.

The event, organised by RainbowBiz CIC and funded by Flintshire County Council, will run from 1pm to 9pm with free entry.

It replaces fireworks with a lights and laser display set to music, designed to be suitable for all ages and accessible to those who may find loud noises distressing.

Daytime activities from 1pm to 5pm will include live performances from Free Fallin, Sean Seery and The Rock Works, along with stalls, food, and a bouncy castle. The evening programme from 6pm to 9pm features a light display, more music, food, and a bar.

RainbowBiz said the event aims to provide an inclusive celebration for the whole community while maintaining the festive atmosphere of Bonfire Night.

The Queensferry War Memorial Institute is located on Chester Road West, Queensferry, Deeside (CH5 1SA).
