Police seize over 200 cannabis plants in Flintshire raid

Police have seized 224 cannabis plants following a warrant carried out by the North Flintshire Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT).
The discovery was made after officers executed a search warrant at a suspected cannabis cultivation site earlier this week.
All plants were seized and will now be destroyed.
In a social media update, North Wales Police said: “#NPT today conducted another warrant on a suspected cannabis cultivation… 224 plants found and seized for destruction.”
Adding a touch of humour, the team wrote: “As usual, the first one to comment ‘Liked, shared, hope I win’ will be the winner of the next warrant. #Jokes.”
Police also warned that cannabis cultivation is often linked to modern slavery, with vulnerable people forced to live and work in illegal grow operations.
The statement continued: “Cannabis cultivation plays a major part in modern slavery, with victims being forced to work and live in these cultivation factories. Thanks to our community again for their integral information.”
Officers said community intelligence remains vital in identifying and shutting down such operations.
North Wales Police urged anyone with concerns about drug activity or exploitation to contact them via 101 or the force website, or to report anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
