Police name woman found dead in Prestatyn

North Wales Police have confirmed that the body discovered in Prestatyn on Friday has been identified as 45-year-old local woman, Angela Shellis.
A spokesperson for her family said: “Angela was a loved daughter, sister, mum and aunty and will be sadly missed.”
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Gibson said: “The family are being supported by specialist trained officers and ask their privacy is respected during this tragic time.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in or around the Morfa area near to the football fields on Friday 24 October between 0300 hours and 0830 hours.
“Whether you believe you have anything of significance to offer the investigation, it is imperative that we identify any persons in the area during these key times.
“An 18-year-old male remains in custody and detectives continue to interview him. A warrant of further detention was granted at Mold Magistrates Court on Saturday 25 October to allow us to keep the male in custody, whilst the investigation continues.
“I urge people not to speculate about the incident online. If you were in the area during these times please contact North Wales Police quoting reference C165084.”
