Chester Road East near Deeside Leisure Centre back open following earlier police incident

Update: According to several people commenting on social media, the road is back open both ways, traffic remains heavy in the area.

Earlier report: North Wales Police have said they they are responding to an incident which has closed Chester Road East near Deeside Leisure Centre.

A police spokesperson said: “We are currently responding to an incident in Deeside, which has closed Chester Road East near to Deeside Leisure Centre. Please avoid the area for the time being and take alternative routes where possible.”

A number of emergency vehicles are reported to be at the scene.

Traffic is building up around the area, with motorists advised to seek alternative routes and expect delays.
