Murder arrest following death of a woman in Prestatyn, say police

An arrest has been made in connection with the death of a woman in Prestatyn.

Shortly before 8.40am today police say they received a call from a member of the public reporting a body located in the Morfa area, near to Dawson Drive.

Police have confirmed 1.20pm today, a local man was arrested in the Coniston Drive area of Prestatyn on suspicion of murder.

Superintendent Lee Boycott said: “An increased policing presence will continue locally today and into the weekend for reassurance within the community.

“Investigations continue and we are asking anyone with information that could assist with our enquiries to get in touch at the earliest opportunity, quoting reference number C165084.”
