Motorbike rider seriously hurt in collision with car in Shotton

Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Shotton on Wednesday evening.
The collision occurred at around 7pm on Wednesday, 30 July on High Street and involved a black BMW 116D and a motorbike.
The motorbike rider was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with serious injuries.
Police have said that two occupants from within the car “left the scene on foot and remain outstanding.”
Officers are carrying out enquiries to locate them and are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch.
Sergeant John Prichard of the Roads Crime Unit said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who saw which direction the occupants of the car went when they left the scene, to contact us at the earliest opportunity.
“I am also appealing to anyone who was travelling along Shotton High Street at around 7pm to get in touch – particularly anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage which might help with our investigations.
