Generation H 3.0: Serhiy Tokarev announces the start of applications for the third season of the health-tech accelerator programme

This year, the Generation H accelerator programme, launched by SET University in partnership with the Tokarev Foundation, has gone global. In addition to teams from Ukraine, startups and founders from other countries can now participate.

“The decision to scale up reflects the realities of the global market: AI in healthcare is growing by 35–40% annually, and the digital health sector has already reached $300 billion. The first seasons of Generation H have already demonstrated that Ukrainian teams are capable of successfully competing in the global market,” says Serhiy Tokarev, impact investor and founder of the Tokarev Foundation.

Graduates from previous cohorts of Generation H have raised over UAH 11 million in investment, expanded into international markets, made it into the top 200 of TechCrunch Startup Battlefield, and won various initiatives, including Google for Startups.

The 30 startups that have gone through Generation H are coming out with solutions and products that are already on the world stage. An example of such innovation is Ovul, an AI device that tracks fertility using saliva analysis. Another innovation is TAYRA.AI, an AI medical assistant that auto-structures the consultation of doctors.

What to expect from Generation H 3.0

The new season of the programme, will last 10 weeks and will be held in a hybrid format. International teams will be able to attend all lectures and workshops online without having to relocate. Generation H 3.0 is designed for HealthTech startups with an MVP or projects that have already generated initial sales.

The programme includes:

  • Personalised mentoring from industry professionals with real-world experience
  • Development of a global market entry strategy
  • Business model validation
  • AMA sessions and one-on-one matchmaking with investors
  • Expert support on regulatory issues
  • Product crash tests
  • An investment of UAH 650,000 for the best startup

“The main feature of Generation H 3.0 is that the programme is going global. Founders and teams from abroad can now participate as well. This is the first step towards turning Ukraine into a fully-fledged international HealthTech hub,” says Serhiy Tokarev.

The guest mentors invited had industry experience — Fergus O’Dea, Vice President of Commercial Operations at FIRE1; Vladimir Nerubenko, co-founder Lab24 and TerraLab; Alexa Sinyacheva, Techstars mentor & co-founder Moeco; Eric Henry, Senior Counsel for FDA and Regulatory Compliance at King & Spalding.
