Funding has been secured for carriageway resurfacing at several sites across Flintshire during the half-term week, with six schemes scheduled to take place from Saturday 25 October.

To enable the works, road closures and signed diversion routes will be in place to ensure the safety of road users and the workforce.

Scheduled works include:

Bistre Avenue and Tabernacle Street, Buckley:
Works begin Saturday 25 October for one week. Road closed between 8am and 5pm.

B5127 Mold Road, Ewloe Green:
Works begin Monday 27 October for one week. Road closed between 9am and 4.30pm.

Alexandra Road, Mold:
Works begin Monday 27 October for two days. Road closed between 9am and 5pm.
The one-way system at Victoria Road will be suspended during working hours to allow two-way traffic under the control of on-site traffic officers.
Access to properties, Ysgol Bryn Coch and the cemetery will be via Victoria Road during working hours only.

St David’s Lane, Mold:
Works begin Tuesday 28 October for three days. Road closed between 9am and 4pm.

A550 Hawarden Road, Hope (Sarn Lane to Ysgol Estyn):
Works begin Tuesday 28 October for five days. Road closed between 9am and 4.30pm.

A5026 Top of Boot Hill, Holywell:
Works begin Friday 31 October for one week. Road closed between 9am and 4pm.

The council said contractors would make every effort to stick to the planned schedule, but times may change in the event of poor weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Access to homes and businesses will be maintained where possible, although short delays may occur.

A spokesperson for Flintshire County Council said the authority apologises for any disruption caused by the essential maintenance works.
