Broughton Under 6s kick off first season with charity partnership

Broughton Under 6s are preparing to start their first grassroots football season with goals both on and off the pitch.
The new team recently raised funds through JustGiving to buy their first football kits. They have now also partnered with the NSPCC as their chosen charity for the year.
Coaches Dave and Matt said: “It’s not just about football — it’s about building character, teamwork, and a sense of community. We want the boys to learn early on the value of giving back and supporting others, both on and off the pitch.”
Throughout the season, the team will take part in fundraising events and community projects, including sponsored walks and charity match days, helping the young players understand the importance of helping others.
The NSPCC, the UK’s leading children’s charity, works to prevent abuse and protect children’s rights. The partnership aims to raise funds and awareness for the vital work the NSPCC carries out daily.
Parents and local residents have praised the team’s efforts, proud to see Broughton’s youngest players learning important life lessons alongside their football skills.
Broughton Under 6s are proving that even the smallest players can make a big difference.
