Residents in Hawarden, Shotton, Mancot, and surrounding areas of Deeside may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of supply due to essential maintenance work being carried out by Welsh Water.

According to an update from Welsh Water, repairs began at 9pm this evening, 18 February, and are expected to be completed by 7am on Wednesday.

The company anticipates that all supplies will be restored to normal in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Welsh Water has apologised for the disruption and advises customers to run their cold kitchen tap once supply is restored to help clear any potential discolouration.

A map released by Welsh Water (above) shows the areas affected, including Shotton, Queensferry, Higher Shotton, Aston, Deeside, Mancot, Sandycroft, and surrounding locations.

The highlighted regions indicate where residents may experience supply issues until repairs are completed.

The work is part of a structured repair process, which involves locating faults, ensuring public safety, and restoring the water network to full operation.

Welsh Water has assured residents that further updates will be provided as the maintenance progresses.
