Penalty notices issued after Flintshire Council Blue Badge checks in Mold

Officers checked 78 Blue Badges at Mold Market this week and found four were invalid, Flintshire County Council has said.
Two of the invalid badges were seized immediately.
Flintshire County Council said the two remaining badge holders will be contacted pending further investigation.
Three vehicles involved in the operation also received penalty charge notices.
The checks were carried out by council enforcement officers in the town centre.
A Blue Badge allows people with severe mobility difficulties, or a health condition that affects their mobility, to park closer to where they need to go.
Badges can be issued to drivers, passengers or organisations, and are valid for up to three years.
The council said the checks help ensure parking spaces remain available for residents who genuinely need them.
Flintshire County Council sets out on its website that pregnancy, lower-rate Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, disability in one arm, temporary conditions such as limb fractures, and bladder or bowel conditions do not on their own qualify someone for a Blue Badge.
Badges in Wales are free, although a replacement for one that has been lost or stolen costs £10.
Applications can take up to 12 weeks to process, and expired badges cannot be used even if a renewal application is in progress.
